You will spend the night in Dades before crossing the High Atlas Mountains. The scenic river valleys provide for a lovely trek towards Morocco's southeast. ![]() Through the afternoon, you will have a walk- up in the majestic Todra Gorges (600 feet high). You leave Erfoud behind the High Atlas Mountains on your way to the Todra Gorges. You will spend the night in Berber tents (Dinner is included).ĭAY 7: ERG CHEBBI - ERFOUD - TODRA GORGES - DADES VALLEYĪfter breakfast, you will return by camel to the 4x4s and drive back to Erfoud. You will ride a camel for a half- hour walk out onto the dunes to view the sunset. In the afternoon, you'll ride in 4- wheel drive vehicles over the desert to the beautiful Sahara sand dunes. The most of the day will be spent relaxing at the hotel or seeing the small but intriguing desert villages. Dinner will be provided at the Kasbah.ĭAY 6: MERZOUGA CAMEL RIDE & NIGHT IN SAHARA After the long trip, a hot shower or a plunge in the hotel. Halfway through, you'll stop for lunch at Midelt, a town known for its fossils and rocks. The majority of the day will be spent threading your way through gorgeous woods, jagged rock faces, and Berber settlements as you traverse the Atlas Mountains and begin your descent into the Sahara Desert. You'll spend the morning visiting the 2000- year- old remains and gaining a sense of life during the Roman Empire. After lunch, you will go to Chefchaouen for the night. On the way, you will stop at Rabat, the capital city and palace of the King, for lunch and to experience the magnificent seaside city.
